Administrator Privileges revolked while trying to install PCI LATENCY TOOL program ...
Given :Windows Vista Home Premium.I amthe only user of this machine, and have the only Administrator Account. I am logged in as Administrator as noted in USER ACCOUNTSI cannot install a program (PCI latency Tool)on my machine. I get through the3 screens in the installer exe, and whenthe statusbar is about to install the program I get theerror " The system administrator has set policies to prevent this installation " . The program was written to work on Window XP and older . I used it successfully on XP on my previous laptop. If I right click PROPERTIES over the executable , I see FULL CONTROL over my name. To test if it was just my settings , I created a newaccount ..... I opened the administrator command prompt . I created a new administrator account ( I called TEMP) with administrator priviledges . Logged out , logged back in. Same Error. I cannot access access MANAGE LOCAL USERS and GROUPS in the MMC , where I would go to see if I had a local policyinstallation limitation ....Any suggestions ?
