Administrator Confusion
When my computer is on in normal mode, my account is the administrator. When my computer is running in safe mode, there is another account called "administrator". I don't know the password to this account, and when I try to do things that require administrative rights, typing in my password is "incorrect". I've tried every password I've ever had and none of them work on this administrative account. I have no idea why it's there, but since my name is technically the administrator, why won't my password work for things like the Recovery Console?1 person needs an answerI do too

The account you normally use may not be the same as the Administrator Account, although it might have Administrator privileges. The built-in Administrator account is hidden from Welcome Screen when there is a user account with Administrator privileges and is enabled. In Windows XP Home Edition, you can login as built-in Administrator in Safe Mode only. For XP Professional, press CTRL + ALT + DEL twice at the Welcome Screen and input your Administrator password in the classic logon window that appears.
