Administrator Account for Rescue Disk?
I'm looking at some HP instructions on how to do it, and they don't mention the necessary account to do this (Subject)<input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!-- Session data--></input> <input id="jsProxy" onclick="jsCall();" type="hidden" />

Rescue Disk for what exactly? You mean like restoring it to factory defaults? I think too if you'll look in Start/All Programs (if you're running Vista or Windows 7) you should see the HP Tools, see if its there. If not and you're just trying to make a Repair CD from Windows 7 then look in Start/All Programs/MaintenanceMCSE, MCSA, MCDST [If this post helps to resolve your issue, please click the "Mark as Answer" or "Helpful" button at the top of this message. The machine is new, and I need to backup whatever OS is necessary in the case of system failure. Right now there is nothing on it that I put there. Admin or my account? I think admin, which I know is hidden, but can get to it.

If the machine is new, then your account should have administrator rights although the UAC may prompt you. So you still haven't answer several of my other questions yet in my first post. If you want to make a system image and a backup, I would recommend an external hard drive as DVD's would be more of a hassle and take much longer. See my last sentence regarding making a Repair CD, in that same folder you'll see other options. Here's a video on how to do it http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Back-up-your-programs-system-settings-and-files MCSE, MCSA, MCDST [If this post helps to resolve your issue, please click the "Mark as Answer" or "Helpful" button at the top of this message.
