Administration Account Errors
I am the sole user on my computer no one else uses it. My account is listed Admin, but Windows 7 wont allow me to do a restore and there are locks on the documents, pictures, music folders and some of the command prompt commands do not work. i contacted my manufacturer of the pc but they were not able to fix the issue, they said try creating a separate account and see if that fixed it, well it didn't so they wanted me to do a restore, is there any other way to fix this issue without recoverying my whole pc.

Hi, After checking this issue, I would like to confirm the following details: 1. What is real operation of your restore, System Restore or Backup and Restore? 2. Did you get some error when you failed to do a restore? 3. Do you mean that you cannot open documents, pictures and music folders? What is the result in Safe Mode? 4. Have you install any software recently? Currently, I suggest you perform a full virus scan for your Windows 7. if this issue persists, please try to do a system restore in Safe Mode: 1. Restart your computer, and then press and hold F8 during the initial startup to start your computer in safe mode with a Command prompt. 2. Use the arrow keys to select the Safe mode with a Command prompt option. 3. If you are prompted to select an operating system, use the arrow keys to select the appropriate operating system for your computer, and then press ENTER. 4. Log on with your administrator. 5. At the command prompt, type rstrui.exe, and then press ENTER. 6. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen to restore your computer to a functional state. Hope it helps.
