As a follow up to this first poster's comments I am troubleshooting a friend's xp pro system and his ONLY account is a limited one and there is no apparent administrator account. His computer was filled with trojans and viruses that I have wiped out. I suspect one of them may have deleted the administrator account. Any repairs I need to do with administrator priveleges cannot be done. I need to know how to find and restore or recreate an administrator account without using the restore point process (since it appears there are none here, and I don't want to wipe any data)Any help as to this restoration process would be greatly appreciated.1 person needs an answerI do too

What happen if you Started in Safe Mode and use the Built in admin account to create another Admin account?You need to sort out the restriction created in the registry to remove it and gain control on the machine.
