Regarding keyboard language, The default keyboard layout is set in the Regional Settings in the Control Panel for each user but this is not applied until the user actually logs on to the computer. To set the default keyboard at Boot (at the login screen), you need to edit the registry. Start Regedit (Start -> Run -> "regedit") Navigate to the key: HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Keyboard Layout\Preload In the Right window is a key with the name "1" that will contain the value 00000409 if your machine boots to US English keyboard.Double-click on this entry and change this value to 00000809 for UK English (or keyboard of your choice).Loaded keyboard layouts codes are found at the key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout\DosKeybCodesNormal Registry-editing warnings apply. Make sure you back up your registry beforehand and know how to restore it in case something goes wrong with the editing. This can be done by creating a "System Restore" point or using a utility such as ERUNT .IIRC, the original Administrator account is not allowed to be deleted. For security, you should assign it a password.HTH, JW
