I get the following error when i try to add my vista ultimate computer to a windows server 2008 rc domain controller: "An attempt to resolve the DNS name of a DC in the domain being joined has failed. Please verify this client is configured to reach a DNS server that can resolve DNS names in the target domain." I succesfully added my windows xp laptop to the domain but not the vista. The server is fully functional witth no errors on it's side.

hi just give the dns of your server and its start working. i faced this problem yesterday and manually give the dnson vista and then it joins the domain without any hesitation.Thanks Regards
