Adding AD' Users and Computers to a Windows 7 PC
Hi folks, I’ve been using an XP PC for years now running the adminpak to allow me to have access to our Windows Server 2003 admin tools i.e. AD, DNS, DHCP without needing to logon to the DC. I have seen loads of forums threads about the Remote Server Admin Tools for Windows 7 and I have downloaded and installed it but there are just so many options/features within the control panel to select. Can anyone tell me which options to install that will just allow me access to AD Users and Computers, DNS and DHCP, as I don’t want all the other features installed. Thanks in anticipation, Tony

You can select which consoles are enabled in RSAT. The detail steps are provided in the download page. Hi Arthur, Thanks for your response. I have read the instructions and have installed the RSAT. My query is specifically when I go into turn on the features in the control panel and I see the RSAT option - what are the only check boxes I need to tick to just install AD Users and Computers, DNS and DHCP? At present I click everything but in order to just provide those features and not all the options of RSAT someone is bound to know which ticks to select without me having to go through all of them using the process of elimination. Thank you, Tony
