Added a tablet and now Desktop's Keyboard not working

I just took delivery of a HPStream 7 - signed into my microsoft account and allowed it to synch PC settings.  I should _not have done that. The synch has overwritten my desktop pcs keyboad settings - it no longer enters any text - also doesn't respond to the 'Windows' key.

I can bring up the onscreen keyboard but that's not a solution. Powered off...plugged in a different keyboard - removed the driver and rebooted - re-installed MS's Mouse and Keyboard center.

The keyboard is working - MS's Mouse and Keyboard detected whether the MS keyboard or my Logictech keyboard was hooked up. So how do I convince windows to, once again, look to my physical keyboard for input?

Hi,

This should not be caused by account sync.

Have you switch to another local account or disconnect this Microsoft account to check if the issue persists?

What's the meaning of "re-installed MS's Mouse and Keyboard center"?

After reinstall the proper driver for your Logitech keyboard, connect to Microsoft account again for test.
