Add User account to folder
Trying to add a user account to a folder's permissions list. In Windows 7, UAC turned on perform the following: Right-click on the folder, select Properties and go to the Security tab In the "Group or user names" section there is a button called "Edit..." with a shield icon, click on it. The "Permissions for <folder name>" dialog opens, in the "Group or user names" section the "Add.." button is disabled and there is no way, that I can find to enable it. How do I enable the "Add..." button?

Hi, This issue can occur if your current user account does not have enough permission to modify the folder's settings or the folder is protected. Is a folder a general folder or a folder in system drive? At this stage, I suggest you login on the machine with a administrator privilege account and take ownership of the root folder of the problematic folder. After that, you can add your current user account to the folder permission's group. Note: If you current account is already the administrator, please try to access the root folder and manually take ownership of driver permission. For more information, please refer to the link below: How to set, view, change, or remove special permissions for files and folders Thanks, Novak
