I included if how to do it if you have a CD just for completeness:The Backup program is installed automatically on XP Professional, but not on XP Home. If you have the genuine bootable XP Home installation CD, insert it into your system and browse to this folder:\ValueAdd\MSFT\NTBACKUPDouble click the ntbackup.msi file to begin the installation. Here is a nice Microsoft article that tells you all about it:http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=302894Here is another article that tells you how to do it:http://www.winxptutor.com/ntbackup.htmIf you don't have an installation CD and need to download the ntbackup.msi file, here is the link:http://www.winxptutor.com/ntbackup.htmDo, or do not. There is no try.Somebody please tell me how to prepare figgy pudding as these children keep saying they won't go until they get some.I decided to save up points for a new puppy instead of a pony!

If you have the complete XP Home CD, find backup on the CD, in\ValueAdd\MSFT\NTBACKUP and install it yourself by doubleclicking thefile ntbackup.msi. If you don't have an XP CD, you can download ntbackup.msi athttp://www.onecomputerguy.com/software/ntbackup.msi Also seehttp://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=302894 However, there are several third-party backup tools that you candownload and install and use instead. Almost all of them areconsiderably better than what's built into XP. I recommend AcronisTrue Image. Ken Blake (MS MVP)
