Ad Hoc Network Problem
Hello, So about 2 months ago i created an ad hoc network to try to share an internet connection on Vista. Ever since then i have not been able to delete the network. I dual boot Vista and XP the network shows up no matter which operating system im on. It also doesnt just show up on my laptop its still broadcasting cause friends can still pick up the network. I have tried many things i have found throughout these forums and other to remove it but nothing has worked. I have tried: 1) Go to Control Panel > Classic View > Network and Sharing Center > Customize > Merge or delete network location > Highlight the network then click Delete.2) Go to Control Panel > Classic View > Network and Sharing Center > Manage Wireless Networks > Highlight the network then click Delete.3) Comand Prompt > netsh wlan delete profile name="netork name"None of these have worked because they do not list the ad hoc network so i can delete it. Any other things i should try other than reinstalling everything? This is quite annoying. Anyway thank you for your help. And if your having this problem hopefully one of the above will help for you....
