Active Directory Issue?
We recently upgraded a server from Windows 2003 to Windows 2008 R2. We have both Windos XP clients and Win 7 Pro 64 bit clients. Since then I have occasional problems with access to usershares and groupshares. For example, our documents folders are redirectect to servername\usershares\username. One user will randomly loose access to files saved in his usershare. The user may save a file in his usershare and upon reopening the file it will tell him he has no access. More frequently the user will open his usershare see all of his documents, but the icons are dimmed. He can open the files, but they open very slowly. One small PDF may thake a minute to open. Correct me if i am wrong, when a user joins the company, he is assigned a certain amount of space in the file server which is mapped automatically? or is it mapped manually at a later time? n either case... what happens if you disconnect and map the same folder again?Ravi ------ Sanity is a socially acceptable level of Insanity.
