Hi, I would like to suggest you run Services.msc and enable Windows Firewall feature. If it does not work, you may also try to disable the third party antivirus program and firewall, then turn on Windows Firewall again. If the issue persists, please refer to the following link to perform the troubleshooting steps: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7security/thread/e5ee6823-98f8-4575-a254-00a038b17e34 Regards,Arthur Li - MSFT

Hello: I tried the bat file noted in the above forum. It was not successful, as I received the following error on Line3 C:\Users\SeanM\Documents>sc config DcomLaunch start= auto [SC] OpenService FAILED 5: Access is denied. I have been fighting this issue for about a week now and not a single solution anywhere has worked. I have run every scan possible, I have changed permissions on the registry, I have tried newer versions of files. I would perform a fresh install, but I suspect that will not work either. I am not running any 3rd party firewalls, but I am re-thinking this strategy, because I cannot go without a firewall and it seems that Microsoft has no interest in this problem. I have found so many postings for this issue that I am stunned that Microsoft has not taken any action yet. I have to take a break from this problem before I go crazy, but I will check in again in about a month or so to see if any progress has been made.
