Action Center still displays Live OneCare after uninstall
I made a mistake when upgrading from Vista SP1 to Win 7. I did not uninstall Windows live OneCare. After upgrading there was no way to uninstall OneCare from Win 7 so I downloaded the OneCare cleaner program (OneCareCleanUp.exe) from Microsoft and ran that. OneCare is now fully unistalled from my system. There are no more files under the program files directory and there are no OneCare services running. But the "Action Center" still says under the Virus Protection section that "Windows Live OneCare reports that it is up to date and virus scanning is on". Does anyone know how to reset the "Action Center" so it does not think OneCare is still installed?Thx

At this point your best option would be to install another anti-virus solution to see if Action Center will recognize that as the security software or not. ~Alex T.~ ~Windows Desktop Experience MVP~
