Action Center Falsely Reporting Antiviirus and Anti-Spyware Programs turned off
I have tried two of the "approved" security suites for Win7 RC1 namely, Kaspersky and TrendMicroThe action center periodically warns thatthese programs have turned offThe Programs themself show that they are on and activeI have to assume that there is a problem with the action center and not withthe progams themself. Is this a known issue????

Kaspersky and TrendMicro both suck even with other operating systems.Try ESET Smart Security or NOD32, Avira, or F-Secure; maybe even Norton 360 or Norton Internet Security (never thought I'd be recommending Norton product....gawd...what am I doing here....I hate Norton).GA P35 DQ6 Mb, Intel Wolfdale 8600 3.33Ghz C2D CPU., 4x2Gb Mushkin DDR2 1066 PC2 8500 Ascents Memory Mods., PNY-nVidia GE Force 8800 GTS (640MB), 4-Western Digital Caviar SATA(2) HDD's (internal), 1 EIDE-USB External; Hauppauge PVR 1600 TV tuner, Dual Monitor: (1) Standard up top, (1) WideScreen below; Altec Lansing Speakers. Here Kitty, Kitty...that's my Kitty Kat, he's a Kat, because he is kat...kat.

Is this a known issue???? Hi Yes, it is a known bug. This has been reported for just about all of the major AV programs. It appears to be a bug in the way the Action Center reports. Hope this helps. Thank You for testing Windows 7 Ronnie Vernon MVP
