Acrobat printer
Hello,I have a new Sony Viao laptop running Windows 7 Pro and I am experiencing two problems. First, I use Acrobat 7 which normally allows me to print basically any open window as a pdf file. The printer was not set up when I installed Acrobat. (I should mention that I have Reader 9 installed on my laptop.) Error message: Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Setup was unable to create a new item: Adobe PDF Port & Pringer. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

You could use VirtualPC and use XP mode for Acrobat 7 PDF writer, I updated to CS4 last year and it works fine natively with Windows 7 x64. Virtual PC and XP mode are free but need Windows 7 Pro or better. I suggest the XP mode as CS4 does cost a fair bit. Vote if answered or helpful, I am running for Office (joke)! IT/Developer, Windows/Linux/Mainframe RaidMax Smilodon, 680W, Asus M2NBP-VM CSM, AMD X2 4200+, 2GB DDR2-800, HD2400 Pro, more details on my site, need a new boot disk, existing one is 5 years old

Or, you could simply install CutePDF Writer - same 'print-to-PDF' functionality that you had with Acrobat 7 (which, as others said, is NOT compatible w/ Win7), and is free. It also works quite well.-Chris[If this post helps to resolve your issue, please click the "Mark as Answer" or "Helpful" button at the top of this message.
