Acquiring IP address error?
For the last two years I have used a netgear router and used their usb wireless adapter to add this pc to the network. Yesterday it struggled to aquire an IP address, now just says "Limited or no connectivity". Which in this case means no network connection. My wireless netbook using windows 7 is ok and finds the network, so this is restricted to this pc only. I have re-installed the netgear usb wireless adapter software, and the same fault appears. Help? Please.2 people need an answerI do too

Probably the Netgear USB wireless adapter has failed. They don't last forever. If you have a different one at hand, uninstall the Netgear and install your other USB wireless adapter. Otherwise you can test by trying out the Netgear in another computer. This assumes that the computer has no other problems and is virus/malware-free because infection can cause issues with Internet connectivity. If you aren't sure of this, do some scanning: http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_MalwareMS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
