Hi,I accidentally deleted a folder in Outlook Express using Shift + Del keys.I tried several recovery s/w but did not found the deleted .dbx file on the HD. It looks to me that OE deleted the email folder in a special way and recovery programs do not find it even with a surface scan.Any tips to solve this?Tks

Depending on the maintenance level of your OE and whether you ever allowed a compaction with it you may be able to find a backup that a compaction procedure creates. I don't think the backup has a .dbx extension; e.g. I think you would have to look for a file with the same name as your folder but with a different extension. Unfortunately I'm on W7 now and didn't keep any of those backups so I can't be more specific. You could probably get more informed help from an XP forum. Good luck Robert Aldwinckle---
