Accessing internet options, changing important settings?
Recently my PC has started to not allow me to change some of the important settings. I cannot access internet options, I can access security center, but it says the service has been stopped or not started. Its a microsoft home edition, windows XP 2002.The only computer in my house. Im using a wireless router. The message I keep getting back is I must contact the administrator. I thought I was the administrator? Ive got anti-virus software and the fierwall is on.Im a novice regarding computers, so any help would be much appreciated?Im new to computers

This issue might be related to some sort of virus , therefore, please tell me what kind is the Anti-Virus that you are using? It should be somewhere in start->programs/all programs. Also, I suggest to login to :http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htmAnd run full system scan, make sure your allow popup(make sure you read all message that will come up in the top of browser(message bars) and allow them). If you have toolbar and shows pop up blocks then click on it to allow it.But if access to website blocks or encourage any problem then let us know. After full scan it will give result of your system including infection and all this follow recommendation such as removal. You may also try to contact Microsoft Support for security issue, they could assist you more about this:https://consumersecuritysupport.microsoft.com/default.aspx?productkey=pcsafetymalware&faq=1&task=diagnostics&st=1&wfxredirect=1
