Accessing Vista shared folder from XP
I have a network of half a dozen computers running Vista and one running XP. Each of the Vista machines has a shared folder, which can be accessed from all the other Vista machines. The Vista machines can access a shared folder on the XP machine. The XP machine can access the shared folders on all BUT ONE of the Vista machines. I'm assuming the problem has to be on that one Vista machine but have not been able to track it down. Anybody have any ideas? Are there any settings in Vista that would allow other Vista computers to connect but not one running XP? Thanks for any help anyone can give me!

Hi Brian, I came across this similiar problem sometime ago. Networking blended systems can be tricky sometimes. However I found this helps: Change your WORKGROUP so they all work under the same prefix. You can change this to what ever you like (Home Network name or Company name), reboot all systems and ensure Network Discovery is active on all. Hope this suggestion helps. Jeremy
