Accessing Documents Set to Private from Administrator Profile
I used to have a user profile on the computer at home. I set it to private so no one could get into the files, but they were still visible in the documents section on my mom's (administrator) profile. I no longer use that computer and have deleted my profile. There is a document I need that I believe I made on her profile but attached to mine or something like that. It is still there but she can't get access to it to email it to me. It says she doesn't have rights to it. I feel like the privacy settings I had set up should have died along with the profile. How can she get rights to it? I really really need it.1 person needs an answerI do too

Depending whether it's Home or Pro, the procedures differ somewhat. In XP Pro, go to Explorer (My Computer) and under Tools>Folder Options>View, temporarily turn off Simple File Sharing. (it's the last item)If XP Home, reboot into Safe Mode. (Tap F8 repeatedly whilst starting)You should now have a 'Security' tab on the rightclick-menu Properties item for the file in question. On this tab, go into Advanced and take ownership of the file. Remove any Deny permissions, and add your own account with Full control.
