Access to FTP server via UAG DirectAccess Client
Hello all, We have an internal FTP site which works fine when connected to the corporate network. Our users tend to use IE 8 to connect. However when a user who is connected via MS DirectAccess attempts to connect to the FTP server they are confronted with a message from Windows Firewall telling them that some features of the program (C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe") have been blocked. The Firewall has two new inbound block rules for TCP and UDP connections in the Private Profile and the user now gets an "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" screen to the user - disabling, allowing or amending these rules has no effect... Has anyone else experienced the same problems...or perhaps someone can suggest a resolution to this issue? Many thanks Carl Carl Barrett | Twitter: @Mosquat

Hello Carl, The direct access will create and use another virturl NIC. You can check what profile the virturl NIC is. If it is private profile, you can try to change the default action for the inbound packets in private profile to "Allow" to see the effect. Best Regards Scott Xie
