Access to Admin account files and folders
XP Home - Setting up home wireless network changes were made evidently with security in mind to the incoming connections area deleting user names. Now the user account no longer is available for XP Logon even accessing with Safe mode Administrator account the folders can not be opened. One of the accounts not accessible to logon was also admin but with blank password and the files under that user are accessible.Any Ideas as whether Owner account files will be able to be retrieved by other means? Thanks KW13 1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi KW13, Thank you for taking the time to post. If I understand you correctly, you have account(s) that no longer appear on the sign in screen but you need to access the files and folders for those missing/deleted accounts? If this is the case it depends how the accounts were removed, there is a chance that the files are still there. Browse to c:\Documents & Settings do you see the account(s) here, if so you should be able to access the files and folders. If the accounts are not here then when the account(s) were removed the files and folders were removed as well. The only other option would be to look for some kind of 3rd party software for data recovery.
