Access is denied
Why I can't access several folders, like document and settings, user/default user, and so on. The answer is: Location is not available, access is denied. What can I do to enter these folders? Many thanks

They are Junction Points not folders.http://www.jimmah.com/vista/content.aspx?id=43Kerry Brown MS-MVP - Windows Desktop Experience

I believe that those folders that you're trying to access are Junction Points. A Junction Point is just a pointer to the new location of that information - and is only provided for backwards compatibility reasons (for example, an older program looking for the user profile in the Documents and Settings folder must be referred to the Users folder in Vista/Win7).A close look should reveal that there's a shortcut type arrow associated with the icons for these files.- John

What I am wondering, is why there are junction points in some folders pointing to that folder itself, creating infinite recursion.
