Access Denied when I try to print
Windows 7 I recently bought Laptop and wireless printer. I am new at the whole technology thing and tried to setup the printer wirelessly. Problem is I didn't realize that you needed a router to set this up and tried to continue the install anyways. When it was nearly installed it asked something about the security and sharing and something about a workgroup and if you wanted to share files and printers. I remember changing these things so that someone else couldn't print to my printer. Now that I try to print it says that I need to configure a printer... I then went into the security permissions and thought that I did something wrong there. I can't access anything. I uninstalled everything on the laptop that mentioned HP and when finished I went into the control panel and looked for the printer - it's still there. I have tried to remove the printer and it gives me an error that says access is denied. I installed a troubleshooter and ran it. It first said it was a problem with the driver and after hitting "fix it" it now says there is a problem sharing with the workgroup. No idea what I did but any info will help.

Hi, Please uninstall the HP printer driver in Programs and Features of Control Panel, then reinstall the driver. If it cannot be uninstalled, you may directly install again for a test. For more help, I recommend contacting HP support for assistance. Juke Chou TechNet Community Support
