Access Denied to all partitions!
Last working good was last Friday, nothing change over the weekend. Today, I logon and got 'Access Denied' to all partitions on my laptop (system and data partitions). Neither my local administrator account nor my domain account can access to any paritions, I verified 'Security' setting, and both accounts have FULL rights to the partitions. I did take the ownership, it did not came up with any error, but still access denied. Logoff, re-start, shutdown/poweron, neither one is working. Unfortunately, I did not set 'System Restore'. Anyone? Many thanks for a possible solution. Thang Mo

Go to this site and follow the steps in Method #4 and then see if you can get into the drive. If no joy, then retry the take ownership steps now that UAC is turned off. http://www.petri.co.il/disable_uac_in_windows_vista.htm it is for windows Vista but the steps are same thing :) you can check here also : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/810881
