Access Denied problems with data transfer
All machines are running XP Pro SP3Computer1, Computer2, Computer3Trying to move files from Computer3 to Computer1, but run into Access denied errors when trying to move the data when initiating the transfer from either Computer2 or Computer3. I want to ultimately use Computer2 as a go-between with 3rd-party sync software, but since even in Explorer I can't move the files, the sync software can't either. Permissions are set on Computer1's folder that I want to move the data to as Allow for everything under Properties>Security Tab for every user, Local Administrators Group, Authenticated Users, the domain user account logged into the computer, SYSTEM and Local UsersI've got auotmation software for looking at data that are run on both Computer1 and Computer3 that if one changes on either system, I want it to be 'current' on the other system. My problem is it goes from Computer1>Computer3 fine from Computer2, but not back.Any other suggestions in terms of file permissions/security settings to look for on Computer1?Below is a chart of what does and doesn't workSheet1 ABCDEFGHIJK11Computer1 (Data Collection) 22Computer2 (Sync/Backup Software is installed here, RE: so multiple users can login and run backup scripts as needed) 33Computer3 (Data Processing) 4 5 Logged in (sitting in front of) Copy File From Copy File To Result 6 1 3 1 Success 7 mapped drive local drive 8 2 3 1 Access Denied 9 mapped drive mapped drive 10 3 3 1 Access Denied 11 local drive mapped drive 12 3 1 3 Success 13 mapped drive local drive 14 1 1 3 Success 15 local drive mapped drive 16 2 1 3 Success 17 mapped drive mapped drive Excel 2003 1 person needs an answerI do too
