Access Admin profile from a crashed disk
Ok..i'll try to be as breif but as specific as possible. My AC went out...and my guess is the disk drive overheated. WHen i tried to boot it came up and bluescreened. I bought a new HD and have set it all up. I have managed to regain access to the old drive...However i can't seem to,no matter what i try, to access my user profile on that disc. I really would love to get into it...(It's where my exe for installing my backup software is.....) So how can you access admin profiles on disc's. I don't want to use it as i'm not sure what dmg has occured, but i would like o get access to my admin profile and get the stuff in there... I have tried sharing it...i have tried to change the permissions..it doesn't give me an error...i click to access it, i hit the admin auth continue button, and the green line goes almost all they way across the bar...and well now i'm here asking if anyone has some knowledge of how to access it.. Thanks -Gregory

Hi, You may take the Ownership firstly, then you can change the security options. please refer the following steps to take the Ownership. 1. Right-Click the file or folder. 2. Click Advanced, then hit Owner on the tab. 3. Then take the Ownership to you. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
