Hi everyone,I'm connected to the internet throught a network,one of my friends has a phone line connection 4 MB,there are many others connected throught it,he bought a new CPU and made a server to the network,the problem is my connection is like 0.25 of the real speed means when there is no one on the network expet me,my speed is 1 MB,My friend the network adminsterator,didn't Split the speed amonge Us,this problem appered when I used vista SP2 and Windows 7,My Xp SP3 didn't have this problem,I've tried to connect to another line,and it was the same,I scanned my pc with kaspersky 8 for windows 7 and found novirus and with zonealarm and no spyware,also I've tried to install a new fresh windows and nothing changed,What can cause this problem?? I tried also to install an antinetcut program ( Antiarp6) and it doesn't run on Windows 7 so I couldn't install it.lan 10,100,1000 realtech family pci-e EnthernetNICga,Ati hd 3450,512

I have the SAME EXACT PROBLEM. I use TIME WARNER CABLE for my ISP... My father's laptop gets about 6mbps download speed using wireless. I'm wired directly into the router... I get 0.19mbps down and 1mbps up! Yes, this problem renders your DOWNLOAD SPEED slower then your UPLOAD SPEED. Same computer running WINDOWS XP doesn't have this problem. In DEVICE MANAGER, it shows up as NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller. I've installed all updates... NOTHING I've tried reinstalling.... Dear Mr Nicholas Li, I am writing this to you from SAFE MODE w/ NETWORKING. I just did a speed test and my speed has now increased to a mere 0.39 mbps You can see it here: http://www.speedtest.net/result/533194926.png So now in SAFE MODE it goes a tiny bit faster, but still not even close to a 56k modem connection. Do you have any other ideas? Any chance we can get someone to look into this issue? Thanks very much for your help.

SAFE MODE change nothing the same problem.
