Now in the RC I do get the following message from the Action Center:"AVG Anti-Virus Free is active, but it's no longeradmitted the format of state notifications to the Action Center" (free translation sorry)Anyone else using AVG Free getting this message?Regards.Let me taste W7 RC now!

I am using Symantec AV Corporate Edition and get this same message. Tried to update from Symantec and they have nothing yet.

I got that too, but I went into the interface and clicked the update manger and updated now. There were 5 updates that needed to be installed and after that the error message went away.I'm runinng AVG version 8.5.325with a release date of May 02, 2009, 7:23amLooks like they just put out an update.

I had the same issue with Avast - even though I updated it as soon as I installed it.Now, a day later, everything is OK.- John

Well unfortunatly the problem has come back. Either I was mistaken about the update resolving the issue or it's come back. Though I was sure for a day or so the problem was gone!

I have a problem with that issue with AVG as well as my ID anti theft program don't work? Any have ne suggestions to get it working?

i had the trial of avg internet eddition of what ever that cheapest ver was when i had beta and didnt get an error, i installed avg free when i installed the RC version and now i get the error avg free is on but is reporting its stats in a way that is not supported. a buddy of mine that still has beta has avg free and gets the same message. it looks to me like microsoft may have refused to support avg free, and perhapse others?

AVG free on W 7 RC1 works fine! @ a moment on one machine. In case something is not right - uninstall AVG 8.5 , delete AVG directory from PROGRAMS, go to http://free.avg.com and download free version from AVG server (not trial), run it, do custom install, unclick everything, exept AVG shield, do not install AVG toolbar and everything might be good! Success!

yep thats what i did, well all except the deleting the directorys but im fairly certain that droping the partition and recreating it took care of that for me. also dont get me wrong its working, windows is just bitching about it.
