I just built a PC using this motherboard and installed Windows 7 Home Premium on it (a legitimate copy). This board boots up into something called ASUS ExpressGate before opening the OS. In ExpressGate, I can open a browser and connect to the internet. In Windows I cannot. Running Network diagnostics in Windows tells me that I have no network device or no network driver. How can that be true if I can connect with ExpressGate? Or is ExpressGate the problem?

This is the wrong forum for your question as this is for Windows Home Server. However, before Ken moves this thread, ExpressGate is not the problem. It uses its own network drivers and is completely independent (based on Linus I believe) of the installed Operating System so it sounds as though Windows 7 does not directly support your onboard LAN (Realtek® 8111E Gigabit LAN controller). Look under Device Manager and see if your network adapter shows as being correctly installed - if not you need to locate the correct drivers for your version of Windows 7 (32 or 64-bit). Phil P.S.
