APPCRASH caused by virus?
Hi to all,I had observed APPRASH when starting some .NET Framework applications. The fault module was always ntdll.dll. A system file check showed more than 1000 faulty system modules (hashes do not match). The system run perfectly besides this APPCRASH errors. After this, I run a virus check and found more than 1200 exe files infected by "Virut.56". Did anybody observe same problem? Some background: in a company more than 600 computers had been infected by Virut. Some people told, the only way to repair is new formatting all the drives!!!!I blame Vista and other Microsoft systems that it is so easy for a simple virus to infect a complete machine. However, some regions could not be damaged by this virus, e.g. the complete user folders and their subfolders. Furthermore, the machine was running for one week with this ultimate infection with only minor problems! Does Microsoft say anything about this threat, other than referring to third party antivirus products?Meanwhile, my whole Vista PC is in "Quarantine", i.e. turned off and removed from network.TIA for any comments and suggestions
