Hi JPBS,1. Which fixit tool did you run?2. Since when are you facing the issue with computer running slow and choppy video?3. Were there any changes made prior to this issue?4. Are all the videos choppy?Scenario 1:Regarding computer running slow: Put the computer in a clean boot state and check if you come across the performance issue.Putting your system in clean boot state helps in identifying if any third party applications or startup items are causing the issue. How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" state?http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353Scenario 2:Video choppy issue: Step 1:If the problem affects all or most of the video files you play), the driver software for your video card might be out-of-date. Check for updates for the driver software for your video card.a. Click the Start button, click All Programs, and then click Windows Update.b. In the left pane, click Check for updates, and then wait while Windows looks for the latest updates for your computer.c. If any updates are found, click Install updates. In some cases, you might need to download the driver software directly from the website of your computer manufacturer or video card manufacturer.Update drivers: recommended links: (This article applies to XP as well) http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Update-drivers-recommended-linksStep 2:If updating your driver software doesn't solve the problem, try reducing (or turning off) video hardware acceleration by doing the following.a. Right-click the desktop, and then click Properties.b. Click the Settings tab, and then click Advanced.c. Click the Troubleshoot tab.d. Move the Hardware Acceleration slider to the left. The Hardware Acceleration setting should not be reduced to less than three notches from the right side.Regards,Manasa P – Microsoft Support.
