AD account taking 45 minutes to log into computer
Hello, I am having a bit of a difficult issue and I need some help. We have received a couple of new Lenovo T420's with Windows 7 after joining the computers to the domain and log in into them we noticed that one user was taking up to 45 minutes to log in after the first initial log in. We decided to have other users log into the same computer and they are fine (3-5 min). We tried the same user on all T420 and the same issue. Tried to also on different models T410,M57 (Win 7) and also the same issue just for that one user. The one thing that is most puzzling is that the user is working fine on a XP machine, so we tried to replicate the issue on another XP machine and was only able to replicate once. Does anyone have any ideas? has anyone come across a similar issue. Please help.

Done a bit more investigation only users in one particular OU are having trouble login into Windows 7. Took one of the user out of that OU and put it into another one and user logged in without any delays. Any ideas?

Hi Mariano Gori, Are there any different Group Policy settings in that OU? Run the command gpresult /h gpreport.html to export the group policy report, comparing it with the normal one to find if there's any clue. The only difference the OU's in regards to GPO's is printer/drive mappings. I did the gpresult /h and on the OU that is having issues there are 2 failed drive mapping and 2 printer mapping. Could this be causing the issue? In my opinion the computer is trying to reconnect to a mapping/printer and keeps timing out or access is denied and eventually fails.

To determine weather this GPO failure caused the issue, as a test, I suggest you remove these GPO then try again to check if it works.
