AD 2003 toolkit
I think this is the best place to ask this question.please redirect me if I am in the incorrect forum. I am trying to work with the admin 2003 toolkit with vista. I need to be able to edit group policies and it would be nice to be able to see icons in Users and Computers other than the generic one. I have applied the fix in KB930056. I can do basic items, but the icons still dissapear in the left pane and the right pane icons dont show the status of an object. I also do not get the option to edit group policies anymore unless I specifically open the group policy editor snap in. Is there a compatable toolkit for Vista or do I need to go back to XP? Or do I not know what I am talking about?

I second that motion to be able to edit group policies with an adminpak for Vista! I too have the 2003 adminpak installed under Vista and can not edit group policies under the User and Computers option. Sad isn't it?!

Well at least I know it isnt a messed up config I have. The only thing I can think of right now is that since the ADM format has changed they are waiting for the longhorn server to be released and will point everyone at that admin pack. I would take beta software right now, as I have to switch between computers to manage the Directory.
