ACPI no longer working
I am running Win 7 X64 Ult RC on an MSI 7345 mb and Intel q9300 with 4gb ram. Since set up two weeks ago the S3 function has worked flawlessly but as of yesterday it no longer functions. I already have the latest bios and all W7 essential/recommended updates installed. The only progs I have installed since it was last ok are MS ISO burn tool and ABBY ocr software, don't think any of these would be a problem? I have reset the and saved the s3 option in bios a cople of times, makes no difference. Any steps I can take to investigate further would be appreciated.TIA,Colin

Hi Colin, Since the computer worked fine previously, a quick solution is to restore the system back to the previous status when the issue didnt occur with System Restore. After restoring, if the issue persists, please also try the following: 1. Run the following command in an elevated command prompt: Powercfg a Then, please check if S3 is available. 2. If possible, please also update the motherboard (chipset) driver to see how it works. Considering the issue is related to hardware, it is also recommended that you contact MSI for further investigation.
