Hi,

Thanks for your reply. Have done already reiinstsllation and not helped. The problem happens when try to open this application and click on the live tile on Windows 8.1 screen it is crashed and closed automatically and get only icon down on the system try /task bar/, when click on this icon in task bar I can open again. When close this application and try  to open again sometimes it is ok but sometimes get the same problem. The error is given in Event Viewer as sent you.

Still additional description : In case I am successful to open this application sometimes firstly  the screen is orange with logo and after it is happened for a few second the background on the screen is black and then changing into blue with clouds as should be.

Generally it does not work stable, sometimes with errors  nut sometimes ok.

Have laptop Lenovo Z-710  17' size with 2 graphic cards :

Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 and

Nividia GeForce 840M

The drivers are updated.

With other application such like MSM weather no problems /but this does not have animation/.

Can you please advise how to fix it and make this application working without problems.

Thanks in advance and best regards, Ewa

Can you upload your event viewer logs?

Please provide us with your Event Viewer administrative logs by following these steps:

Click Start Menu
Type eventvwr into Search programs and files (do not hit enter)
Right click eventvwr.exe and click Run as administrator
Expand Custom Views
Click Administrative Events
Right click Administrative Events
Save all Events in Custom View As...
Save them in a folder where you will remember which folder and save as Errors.evtx
Go to where you saved Errors.evtx
Right click Errors.evtx -> send to -> compressed (zipped) folder
Upload the .zip file to Onedrive or a file sharing service and put a link to it in your next post * If you have updated to win 8.1 and you get the error message "the system cannot find the file specified" it is a known problem.  The work around is to edit the registry.  If you are not comfortable doing this DONT.  If you are, backup the key before you do Press Win+"R" and input regedit
Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WINEVT\Channels. Delete "Microsoft-Windows-DxpTaskRingtone/Analytic"

some users reported this app no longer working in Windows 8.1

Interesting.  Good thing I didn't know that when I suggested to one to use split-screen.  <eg>

http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-performance/application-error-windows-error-reporting-in-the/0e2fd5cc-1b27-4406-bd94-a7c3098a6503

1/ When have opened this application AccuWeather in split screen (it was as half of the screen together with other application) the problem with application crash is over. It means this has been

opened without error on the half of the screen and can easly change into full screen /no error anymore/.

yes Robert, yesterday when I check at store, latest comments will show you users informed this app no longer working in Windows 8.1, but don't know why those comment gone now and latest update user inform its working in Windows 8.1

Its maybe my mistake, but I still think software manufactured have better answer

Hi EWAGOSIA,

I manually tested the App in my Windows 8.1 64 bit (newly installed APP) and the result is that the app works fine in full screen, but crashes in most cases when I use split-screen, so different scenarios in differnt machines. no issue for other Apps in my machine. so it seems a "defect" for the specific App, as mentioend above, it's recommended to contact and report this issue to the app vender.

Or it's the same app with the symptom "fixed".   First rule of being a support programmer is find the problem, not just regard the symptom as the problem.  Making changes to fix symptoms often just results in more obscure problems.
