9f Blue Screen on Shut down
Hi guys,
I have a Dell Latitude E6410 (Core i5 540m, NVS3100m, 4GB DDR3) and on shut down it sometimes has the DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE BSOD. This only happens if I run it on battery and toggle the wireless switch from on to off at least once. I have uploaded the
minidump files(http://cid-6c616ae6fd21cc1d.office.live.com/self.aspx/New%20folder%20^52^6). The weird thing is that on my inspection, it says that the problem is caused by "hardware_ram" and due to "PAGE_NOT_ZERO." I have run 5 passes of Memtest with no errors
and I have tried two other sets of RAM but the result is always the same blue screen. Do you guys have any suggestions to solve the problem?
Thanks

I have seen that most of your drivers have not been updated since 2009. So, please update them.

Thanks for your reply. When I looked over the minidump I also saw that I had 2009 (and some 2008 and 2007) drivers but I am not really sure where to update them. I know I have all the latest drivers from the Dell website and from the manufactures (like Intel's
Wifi 6200, NIC, NVIDIA GPU, etc.) and that some of these 2009 files are actually system files. For example, PxHlpa64.sys has something to do with the DVD drive but I'm not sure where to update it. I have also removed others such as SCDEmu.sys which came with
PowerISO, but the problem still exists.
There is one thing that I have noticed, and that is so far by disabling Bluetooth I have not yet had a problem. If it is enabled and I switch the power state while on battery, i get the BSOD. The drivers are the 2006 ones microsoft provides (Dell only gives
software, not drivers), so I am not sure where to update them.

You should contact Dell for the driver. We cannot do anything if manufacturer don’t provide Windows 7 driver.
There’s another way that you can install Vista driver in Vista compatible mode, but this may also cause BOSD. You can make a try.
