64-bits W7 Home Premium and a network printer
Is it possible to install a network printer, connected to an router which provides DHCP, on a 64-bits W7 Home Premium pc also connected to the same router?

Yes. You need a network printer which have its own IP address. For more information you may discuss with the printer vendors. To install the printer in the system, please follow the steps below. 1. Click Start, click Control Panel and double click Devices and Printers. 2. Click Add a Printer. 3. Select "Add a local printer". 4. Select "Create a new port". Choose "Local Port" as the type of the port. 5. In the box "Enter a port name", type the address as the following format. \\<IP address of the host computer> Then click Next. 6. Select the correct driver in from the driver list. If the required driver is not present, click the “Windows Update” button. After the update finishes, search for the proper driver again. Dear Arthur, Thank you for your quick response. The printer has it's on static ipadress on the same range as the DHCP from the router. I'm a IT Professional so i know how to install it but i wasn't sure if it was going to work on an Home Premium version of Windows 7. Thanks again. Mathieu Kuypers
