64-bit restarts randomly, clean restart & no bsod or dump file...I'll explain
This started about a week ago and I've tried every suggestion I could find on the net; malware/virus scan, use system restore to a ton of different points, turn off system restore and reboot, increase paging file, and I'm sure there are others I'm not thinking of at the moment. Oh yeah, I also went set back my video card before a few updates....no luck. I'd gone to c/windows/and there is no minidump file that I could find. I did a search with 'Everything' and several 'minidumps' turned up, but all were older. When it restarts, iit restarts clean. Any ideas? Thank you so much.

Hi Escapade, Thanks for the post! After the restart, could you find some related unexpected shut down events in your Event Viewer? Does the restart happen when you run some specific application? Did you install some new programs or change some hardware in this week? Since the issue is random, I suggest you update the BIOS and graphic card driver to the latest one, unplug extra devices to check if the issue persists. Having similar issue here. Random shutdown and reboots and no BSOD's. Whatever is causing it damaged the MBR, I repaired it and still the same issue. Had installed two programs recently (Norton & Rainmaker) but problem persisted even after removal. I will be checking the Event Viewer this evening. Forgot all about it, Thanks Miya! I tested hardware and updated drivers last night and the machine ran all night with out issue. Will do some more testing over the weekend.
