5GHz (or dual-band) Wireless N USB Adapter
Is anyone successfully connecting to a 5GHz wireless N network with a USB adapter on Windows 7 RC (64-bit). I tried a Linksys WUSB600N, but it would not see the 5GHz network or connect to it when I tried entering the wireless network information manually. I have two MacBook Pros that can connect to both bands being broadcasted by my router just fine. My router is a dual-band Apple Airport Extreme. I really need to connect my desktop PC to the 5GHz network. Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have the Linksys WUSB600N device also and it wouldn't connect for me either. I recently visted linksys.com and went to their support. They have posted some Windows 7 drivers for this device. I downloaded and installed and I can now access my 5GHz wireless N network.wayne

I had the same problem, downloaded the drivers from their web site, but never got it to work. I spoke to tech support. They said the drivers are still beta andmight not work...so I sent the router and wireless nic back. REally annoying that folks did not have drivers ready to go at launch. Strangely enough, my old belkin router and wireless nic keeps chugging along...was hoping to upgrade, but will wait a few months until theyget their ducks in a row.

The linksys WUSB600N uses a ralink chipset. download the driver direct from ralink and use the utility provided with it. Works like a charm. I've been using it since 7beta. http://www.ralinktech.com/support.php?s=1 the chipset you want is RT2870 Aaron
