Hi guys I have 5.1 sound system. When Im doing the test in sound control panel, everything works just fine. All 5 speakers are working. But, when Im starting to listen to the music from my hdd, rear speakers dont work. Its seems that, it works in 2.1 mode. Also, time by time, when I try to make changes in Control Panel/Sound , Im getting error msg "windows shell common dll has stopped working" If you have any ideas about this strange things please let me know. P. S. one more thing: XP is still installed in my machine as a backup OS, so, everything woks fine there. Tnaks a lot

What program are you using to listen to the music? Check the configuration in it to see if it supports 5.1. SC Tom
