3 Home Computers all running Win 7 won't network won't homegroup
I have spent literally days not hours trying to get my Lenovo Thinkpad W520 and X220 and my Win 7 equipped Asus Mobo Desktop to network or Homegroup. The fact that they won't homegroup doesn't really cause heartburn as that may be the worst excuse for networking ever invented since the caveman, but getting them networked with all on the same network and all running Win 7 Professional x64 seems trivial, but it is not. And yes, I have tried all the normal troubleshooting. Many times they will be fine and many times they won't. I can see all 3 from one computer but the other 2 onle see each other not the 3rd. Why can't Microsoft author an OS that will allow a simple 3 computer system all using their flagship product to talk to each other? Perry

Hi, Did these PCs join a same homegroup? Please follow this article to join a homegroup: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Join-a-homegroup Also please check Windows 7 network and sharing center\advanced sharing settings, make sure “Turn on network discovery” “Turn on file and printer sharing” are enabled. Furthermore, temporally disable firewall and antivirus program on Windows 7 for test. In addition, try to ping IPaddress between these pcs and post the result here.
