3 BSOD's- ALL DIFFERENT ERROR CODES!
Hi. My name is Anna, and my family's win 8 laptop has so far 3 BSOD's, but only after MY profile was created. It has never crashed before this profile was created. My father has just informed me that yesterday, he noticed that Firewall and McAfee are turned off, which explains why no alerts have come up on my profile today. Anything I've downloaded, I transferred to my flashdrive and deleted from the computer permanently. The first error was IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL. The second was BAD_POOL_HEADER,  and the third, occurring today was BAD_POOL_CALLER. Any suggestions? Thanks, Anna.

We do need the actual log files (called a DMP files) as they contain the only record of the sequence of events leading up to the crash, what drivers were loaded, and what was responsible.

Please follow our instructions for finding and uploading the files we need to help you fix your computer. They can be found here If you have any questions about the procedure please ask

Okay, so today just a few minutes ago BAD_POOL_HEADER came up again. I noticed that one of the questions to better understand the error on another person's question was "Do you have any third-party anti-virus software installed?" We have McAfee antivirus, web adviser, file safe, and most likely one or two other things from McAfee. Could that cause the BAD_POOL_HEADER error code on windows 8? We have a friend who has helped us with computers with viruses and bsod's and stuff before, so if it can't be resolved by uninstalling anything we will just have him look at it or he might have a look at it first.

Hi,

We wonder if there is any luck your issue has been resolved, if you've found solution by yourself. We would appreciate it if you could share with us and we will mark it as answer.

If your issue still persists, as mentioned by MVP ZigZag, we need the dump files for troubleshoot what might be causing your system to crash.

Regards

D. Wu

Helloooo everyone!!! So this issue has been resolved thanks to said tech friend. Turns out it was just a video driver problem that caused 7 BSoD's with 4 different error codes. It's should be alright now, so this question here requires no more replies. I want to learn how to troubleshoot MINOR problems, like to where troubleshooting wouldn't cause the problem to get worse. Thank you for your feedback. Continue to helpout others. Appreciation, from Anna.
