2nd call interupts already exsisting call

Hi, we have a issue, (Ive looked at suggested links, but this seems slightly different)  If an external pbx person calls one of our internal lync users, he can answer that call. If another  person from external calls him, that call is also answer & then he randomly bounces between both calls.

Severs all seem to be fully updated.

TIA

Hi Deek,

Could you elaborate on the scenario a little more?

So an external call comes into Lync, and the users answers it.

A second call comes in during this call, and the user answers that (I assume putting the first call on hold?)

At this point the user starts bouncing between the two calls - Is this correct?
If this is correct do you see the two calls on the users screen flipping between 'on hold' and active?

Does this affect all user all of the time?

If these users are using Lync Phone Edition devices can you confirm that the latest firmware is deployed across the them.

If this is affect Lync desktop clients aswel, can you confirm they are also up to date?

Kind regards
Ben

Hi, Bend-y

issue seems to have resolved itself since we reset the phone, but I`ll tell you what was happening anyway...

1st Call come in to Lync & user would answer have conversation with caller. A Second call come in & interrupts/takes over , (even though he did not answer it He doesn't put anyone on hold) & user finds himself talking to second caller

then at random  times call flips between calls. & user gets stressed as he`s never sure who he is talking to.....

hand sets are HP 4120.

On the screen, it also just flips between numbers no on hold, just active

It only happens when other  (external) people call him direct. he is part of a answer group & if he answers a call from group that works fine (but again direct calls will interrupt)

Al phones & software are up to date.

Cheers

Derek

Very odd, I had a feeling it would be on a Phone Edition device hence the question. I'm glad it appears to have resolved itself after a reset.
