Help! I have hundreds of folders on my C drive and a few on my external drive similar to this: 2e2172f47c697d74367accddabe8dc that all include a file named dotnetfx35setup.exe When I try to delete them I get an error message saying Access denied. Make sure the disk is not full or write protected and that the file is not currently in use. Any help would be greatly appreciated! 1 person needs an answerI do too

Can you try to take ownership of one and/or grant yourself full control over the item, and then delete it? See if that produces a different result.

hmmm. Since they're in different places, can you rename them to a short name ("123") or move to the root? I'm thinking long path name issue.

First, have you scan the file with your antivirus. If yes and no problem why do you want to delete them. Make sure that it does not associate with any of your program or you will get more problems. Anyway download Unlocker.Install and delete the file using it it.Here is the URL: http://download.cnet.com/Unlocker/3000-2248_4-10493998.html After install, simply right click the file, click unlocker than choose delete.
