This is called a "dual-boot" setup, and is easy to do, if the OSs are installed in the right order. (Right order: 1st install: Older windows OS (eg XP) 2nd: Vista/win7) If you already have XP installed, boot off of the win7 install disc and choose the Custom option. You will need to have a separate partition and/or hard drive ready in order to start the install, as a partition cannot hold more than 1 OS. Please post back with any other questions you have about this! (as I have 3 XP, 1 win7 RC, and 1 ubuntu install on my comp!) Hello! Actually I have GRUB set up to come up 1st with ubuntu or go to BCD, which then has an option for win7 or go to boot.ini, which boot.ini then points to the 3 XPs.Hello! But I think the limit for bcd is four entries not includingentries in boot.ini.

No, you can have many more than four. There is a limit of four primary partitions on any drive.

Everyone - Or you can use multiple hard drives (provided you're not using a laptop) and multi-boot using the BIOS to switch the primary boot drive (provided it allows you to do this)... I can do up to 7 different OS's on my system - 3 on IDE drives and 4 on SATA (with the final IDE being reserved for the CD/DVD drive. It may be a bit confusing, but it's workable as long as you know which drive is which and use a cheat-sheet with a list of drives and their corresponding OS's.I've got XP, Vista and Win 7 RC on it now.

The following two articles will help on it. Windows Vista no longer starts after you install an earlier version of the Windows operating system in a dual-boot configuration You cannot start Windows XP after you install Windows Vista in a dual-boot configuration together with Windows XPThe articles are for Windows Vista and Windows XP dual-boot, and still apply in Windows 7 and Windows XP dual-boot.Arthur Xie - MSFT
