If you are in a company you manage deployment of update patches using WSUS.

As home user, you could just select some of them to update first and then select the rest (if that is causing any issue). Or you could schedule downloading update at the time which PCs are on but no one or few people are using them like lunch hours or after office hours in case PCs are on.

I didn't see anything like that many.  I have Win 8.1 x64 MCE and Office365.  Both are set to update only when I request it, as I find it prudent to wait a bit to read online and ensure people aren't being blown out of the water by the updates.

From my perspective Windows 8.1 got 11 updates totaling a meager 69.4 MB.

I haven't had Office check itself yet.

Yes, I had the approximately the same amount as you.

Hi,

I checked my Windows 8.1, it also has bunches of updates need to be installed, it's normal.  The size of the updates is different depending on your settings, including important updates, optional updates, updates for other Microsoft products.

kindly suggest you wait for some time to finish the patches.

Could one or some of you show the actual list of updates?

I have kept my system up to date and it's a pretty fully-featured system, so I'm concerned that maybe I'm not seeing all I should be.
