1 computer connected to 2 networks, using 2 cards, 1 for wan only and other for lan only.
Hello! I have a computer with 2 network cards. One on the motherboard and an additional PCI. I want to be able to connect the PCI in the internet only. I want to connect the other one on my router. The problem is, the router also supplies an internet connection. I have some laptops connected to the router that use the routers internet and use a lot of the files that are on the pc. But I have a secondary internet connection dedicated to this pc. Is my purpose clear? The problem is, I don't really know how to make it work. I don't have an option to choose witch internet connection the w7 should use. Sometimes it works, often it does not. What usually happens is, the w7 use one of the connections to access the internet (random) and I cannot share my files with the homegroup. The laptop that should share a local network and a homegroup also runs on windows 7. Any tips on how to make this work? Thanks a lot for your help and attention,
